The Power to Make a Difference is In Our Hands.

As Jack and Jill mothers our mission is to dedicate ourselves to nurturing future African-American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty.

Youth leadership and development is the heart and soul of everything we do, from our programming to our philanthropic giving and service to our communities.

Contra Costa County Chapter

On behalf of the phenomenal women that make up this chapter,  I welcome you to our website. Thank you for taking the time to get to know more about our fabulous organization.

My name is Janene Grigsby, and I am honored and excited to serve as President of Contra Costa County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Since 1979, mothers in Contra Costa County have worked tirelessly to encourage their children to be fierce leaders with a strong sense of pride, purpose and a commitment to their community.

Our theme over the next two years is “The Power to Make a Difference is In Our Hands".

Invest in and Inspire
We invest in our future by inspiring our children to be leaders in their communities, to give back to those in need, and to be financially adept.

Opportunity and Responsibility
We have the opportunity and responsibility to nurture the growth and development of our children through programming that educates, empowers and inspires.

Honor our Legacy
We honor our legacy by observing our traditions, following protocol and continuing to set high standards for ourselves and our children

Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

At the core of the Jack and Jill of America philosophy is that every child - if given the proper guidance and opportunity - can be developed into a leader.

It is this commitment to youth that drives the organization and its growing roster of members in communities from coast to coast.

Passionate about its mission, Jack and Jill of America dedicates its resources to improving the quality of life for all children, particularly African-American children. Each year, children participate in chapter programming and activities that are guided under a national theme in adherence to fulfillment of the organizational goals. Individual chapters embrace a plan of action geared toward a united commitment to address and help alleviate the many disturbing community problems which have a dramatic effect on children.
