Greetings

from the President

Welcome!

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2-19. We are dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty. The Contra Costa County Chapter was chartered on March 6, 1982. We are part of a rich 81-year history, as Jack and Jill of America, Inc. began in 1938.

We provide quality programming for our children focusing on six national thrusts; Civic, Health, Social/Recreation, Education, Cultural, and Leadership. Our chapter has 51 families, including a progressive Father’s Auxiliary. And, we are fortunate to have a very active Associates’ group. These are mothers who graduated out of the chapter when their last child completed high school.

This year’s chapter theme is “Civic Minded Mothers Uplifting Our Community One Child at a Time.” Each year we plan a fun and robust calendar of chapter-wide and grade group events. Additionally, we strategically engage in community service and raise funds for non-profit organizations that have a focus on providing support and resources to families and children.

The national team of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has been very successful over the years in building partnerships with organizations like the American Heart Association, Children’s Defense Fund, March of Dimes, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. These relationships help broaden the awareness in local communities and foster collective efforts that are purposeful and impactful.

If you are interested in learning more about our organization for potential membership or if you are a 501c3 organization with a focus on helping families or children and would like to present your organization to us for possible support, please email us at cccjackandjill@gmail.com. You may also connect with us via mail at P.O. Box 4663, Walnut Creek, CA 94595. Thank you for visiting our website.
